SafeTrends safeguards your digital life by giving you the flexibility to choose what to save, when to save, and where to save it with options for Local and Remote data backups. SafeTrends also allows you to specify how many versions of a specific file or folder to save, and features an Event Log that allows for the review of protection activity and fine tuning of performance.

SafeTrends CDP software utilizes a variety of innovations to backup and restore, by continually monitoring changes in selected files, and backing up this data on selected machines. For example, take advantage of unused storage space on local machines or storage appliances and put them to use by configuring SafeTrends to allocate these locations for backup storage. SafeTrends will automatically monitor and copy changed data to this location at a scheduled interval of your choosing.

One of the many options that SafeTrends offers is the ability to select between Continuous, Trickle, and Scheduled protection of data, for the utmost in flexibility and data safety. These options are very useful for designing specific backup scenarios, such as the maximum level of data protection possible, or when facing limited network availability, for example.

Continuous Protection In Continuous Protection mode, SafeTrends continuously monitors the files in your configured protection group and saves them as different versions on one or more selected locations.

Trickle Protection In Trickle Protection mode, SafeTrends continuously monitors files in the protection group and saves them as different versions in a temporary folder on the local disk. Using the time interval specified by the Trickle configuration, SafeTrends transfers the different file versions to the selected backup locations. This feature is useful when continuous network access is unavailable, or if you want to defer remote transfers and perform other high priority primary tasks.

Scheduled Backup Scheduled Backup mode is the more traditional form of file protection. Rather than protecting files continuously as different versions, files are protected as different backup sets at regular intervals according to a user-defined schedule. Hourly, weekly, and monthly schedules are supported to facilitate backups according to specific user needs. SafeTrends uses a patented algorithm to minimize the space requirement on remote destination(s) for the various data sets.
