American Megatrends India (AMI India) has launched their vehicle tracking system — Falcon-i. Launching the product, State Transport Commissioner S Mache-ndranathan hailed the AMI team for developing this product which could prove useful to fleet-owners.

Falcon-i has been designed, developed in India and would be manufactured at the AMI India’s factory in Chennai. American Megatrends Inc president S Shankar said, ‘this is a proud moment for our India operations as we see the vehicle tracking market is expected to grow beyond the current $35million.’

AMI India director and CEO Sridharan Mani said, ‘the vehicle tracking system will cater to more then 40 per cent of the current market needs in terms of monitoring, controlling and managing large fleets.

Falcon-i comes with assured product guarantees as well as after sales support. We are set to roll-out our marketing plans across the country with a completely packaged VTS solution at an affordable cost peg.’

Some features of Falcon-i are that it comes with GPS/ GPRS-enabled dual mode control and communication system and comes with multiple input and output control and reporting formats for easy and flexible monitoring of fleet movements.

A significant feature is the availability of a two-way communication between the vehicle and the control room giving one complete control of fleet movement with geo-fencing and immobiliser options.

AMI also announced the launch of its exclusive Falcon-i brand website www.falconi.in, which will become the focal point in the sales, service and marketing initiatives.
