MI's latest update to the MegaRAC® family of remote management controllers is the MegaRAC® G4. It can be used in any server with a free PCI slot for sophisticated remote management. The MegaRAC® G4 provides out-of-band, lights-out manageability for BIOS-level system access and control even when the OS is unavailable or the system is powered down.

A 100% OS independent solution, MegaRAC® G4 offers high quality and high performance KVM redirection to any server over the Internet. It does not require any drivers or agents to be installed at the managed server.

OEMs can enhance the MegaRAC® G4 through the use of MegaRAC® platform development kit (PDK), MegaRAC® Platform Manager Configuration Program (PMCP) and MegaRAC® Studio. These tools allow OEMs to extend the functionality, add intellectual property, map sensors and customize the GUI based on their requirements.
