Morning Cup is an Android application running in Android Smart phones. It is compatible with Android 1.5, 1.6 and 2.0 versions. Based on your position, using GPS functionality of phone, it will acquire the following things.

1. Weather forecast (next 3 days), displays max,min temperature, humidity and wind speed
2. Local place name
3. Local time
4. Local news
5. Traffic update (if available)
6. Local search
7. Currency conversion
8. Add favorite cities

Morning cup uses web services available for news, weather, traffic update, local search and currency conversion. You can configure the application so that it will fetch this information at a particular time (say at 6.0 AM) every day.

Weather forecast:

• You can view the temperature status for the fore coming 3 days.
• You can know the minimum and maximum temperatures of the current day.
• The humidity level in the air is available.
• All the temperature status is available in Fahrenheit as well as in degree Celsius.

Local Search:

• You can search for local places like shopping mal, gym, temple etc.,
• The respective details will be provided.
• Click on the items found to see the location on the map.

Local News:

• You can view news based on location information.
• Click on the news item to view in detail.

Traffic Update:

• You can view local traffic updates.
• Morning Cup fetches information from the web service available for traffic updates. If updates are available it is displayed.

Currency Exchange:

• Enter the amount to be converted.
• Select the name of from country and to currency.
• You can know the currency rate and the converted amount.

Current Location:

• Click on the button to fetch your current location.
• It displays the respective latitude, longitude, current date and time.

Place Settings:

• Search for your favorite city. It will be added to the list.
• You can add as many cities as you want.
• To know the information like weather, news etc., just click on the added city. It will show you all the information.

Schedule:

• To schedule the time to fetch all information, go to the menu. Click on settings.
• Enter the time. Select auto wake up.
