Daak™ has been tested to run on Android Cupcake(1.5) and Android Donut(1.6) versions.
2. On which servers will I be able to configure Daak™?Daak™ has been tested with Microsoft Exchange 2003 and 2007. Daak™ works on the WebDAV protocol. If Outlook Web Access is enabled for your server, you should be able to configure Daak™ with your server. However, if your server is protected with SecureID or other such security systems, then Daak™ will fail to connect.
3. How safe is my data with Daak™?Daak™ uses the same method as the Outlook Web Access. If a secure connection or SSL is enabled on your server, all data is transmitted and received over the air without passing on any information to a third-party service in a secured and encrypted manner. Your data is 100% safe when Daak™ is at work.
4. Does Daak™ support ActiveSync©?Not yet. But we will look at the possibility of adding that feature in the future versions pretty soon.
5. From where do I download Daak™?Daak™ is available for download on the Android Market. You can also download a demo version from our website by visiting the downloads section.
6. Why should I use the demo version?Although Daak™ has been tested with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, for some installations, it might not work properly. So, we request you to try our demo version for 7 days, with all the features. Once you are convinced that the Daak™ works fine with your server, you can download the Pro version by paying the license fee. The demo version is completely free.
7. How to change from one to another email account? Does this preserve old contents i.e, e-mails, contacts, tasks of old account?Go to settings and change the email account details. You will be prompted to either delete or preserve the old content. But you cannot make any changes to your old data. Local changes wil still be carried out, but those changes will not be reflected on your Exchange Server.
Daak™ currently doesn't support ActiveSync©. But, every 15 minutes, it fetches your new mails from your server, if any.
2. Is it possible to switch between two email accounts in the Daak™?As of now, multiple accounts are not supported. We will try to include this feature in our future releases.
3. What is the frequency of the "Automatic" refresh for mails? Is it configurable?Currently, Daak™ looks for new mails every 15 minutes. This refresh rate cannot be changed. However, you can always trigger a manual refresh of "INBOX" from the Mails tab.
4. What kind of attachments will I be able to open with Daak™.Simple text files, all image files, all audio types supported by Android's Media Player, and all video types supported by Android's video player.
5. What is limit of the size of attachment that can send via Daak™?Theoretically speaking there is no limit on attachment size. But normally your exchange server might set a limit on the attachments size. Please discuss this with your exchange administrator.
6. What are the pre-defined greetings available?The following are the pre-defined greetings

- Season's Greetings
- Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
- Happy New Year
- Wedding Anniversary
- Congratulations
The background service might have crashed or stopped by the OS. You just need to do a manual refresh of your inbox and the service will be restarted.
8. I got a message, "Saved in Outbox"? Where is the "Outbox"?The outbox is currently not visible by users. Whenever there is an error while sending a mail, like no network connectivity, the request is saved in the database, and the background service will try to send it again after some time. You don't have to worry, eventually, when everything's fine, the request would be sent.
On click on Invite menu under a particular contact, grabs the present location of the phone using GPS and send it to the intended contact via SMS. On click on this message, the intended contact will be able to see your position on the Google map.
2. How to search contacts? Local and from the Global Address List ?Go to contact screen by clicking on the Contact Tab. Tap on Search from the menu. Type the part of the name of the contact to be searched. For searching a contact from the Global Address List, go to the contact screen by click on the Contact Tab, click on GAL from the menu, type the part of the name of the contact to be searched from the Global Address List.
3. How do I search for a contact?When you are on the Contacts Screen, you can search a contact by choosing "Search" from the menu, or you can user the "Quick Search" feature. For using this, just open up your keyboard, and start typing a name.
4. Where do I search for a contact from the "Global Address List"?Select "GAL" from the menu, which will open up a dialog from where you can search a contact from the Global Address List.You can search a contact using his "Display Name", "First Name" or "Last Name".
5. What is "Sync All" in contacts?Normal Sync will get only those updates from your contacts folder after the last synchronization date. But it won't fetch the information about the contacts that have been deleted. If you want to trigger a complete sync, use "Sync All".
6. How can I view a Contact's details?The Contacts List is not the usual click and open list. It has specific triggers. When you click on a contact's name, the contact's details are displayed. When you click on the contact's email address, you are taken directly to the compose screen with the "To" field populated. If you click on the contact's phone number, all the phone numbers of the contact are displayed. You can directly place a call or send an SMS. Alternatively, you can bring up the context menu by long clicking a contact.
Currently, Daak™ looks for new appointments or updates every 15 minutes. This refresh rate cannot be changed. However, you can always trigger a manual synchronization from the Calendar tab.
2. How can I view all my appointments?You cannot view all your appointments with this version. You can only view a list of appointments from the time the last synchronization took place, till 2 days ahead. However, we are working on a calendar view, which will show you all your appointments, both beyond 2 days, and past appointments.
3. The reminder time when changed from the phone doesn't get updated to the server. Why?The reminder that you set for you appointments on your phone doesn't get synced to you exchange server. These reminders are only for your phone. Exchange Server will have it's own reminders, and they won't be affected.
Using Android phone's settings option, the user can turn ON or OFF GPRS or Wi-FI. Please refer the user's manual of your phone for more details. Normally Wi-Fi is faster but normally not available outdoor. GPRS/Edge depends on the mobile service provider and available almost everywhere. The cost of upload/download in GPRS/Edge depends on the number of bytes transfer.
2. How to configure the Appointment Widget of Daak™?Go to your home screen. Click on menu, select Widgets. Search for "Daak™" and click it. The widget will show you the next appointment on your calendar.
3. What is the running cost of Daak™?This depends on the usage and type of communication you use. If it is in work place and medium is Wi-Fi, normally no charge is involved for the communication. In Outdoor communication the cost depends on the number of bytes uploaded/downloaded and varies from service providers.
